Children of Men
I saw Alfonso Cuaron's (Y tu mama tambien) new movie Children of Men the other night. It didn't disappoint. I'd say it's worth seeing at the big theater. Cuaron's suspenseful and violent vision of the future is set in the UK in 2027. Women across the world have become infertile and as a result things have become pretty hopeless. The rest of the world has fallen into chaos and as the movie says, "only Britain soldiers on." But Britain's not exactly a wonderful place either. All illegal immigrants or refugees are constantly being rounded up and put in cages. I won't spoil it for you, but be assured it's well written and acted (Clive Owen is great), and it looks great. One of the best things I've seen in a while. The kind of movie you can't stop thinking about.
