Persepolis

This Thursday, Movie Night In The Back Yard presents Persepolis (2007). A animated version of Iranian author Marjane Satrapi's popular graphic novel, Perseoplis has won critical acclaim (and an oscar nomination) for it's unique perspective and original animation style. This is the only film of the season that I haven't seen yet, but I think it might be one of the best this year. Be sure to make it to the back yard this Thursday!

Somehow I KNEW you'd be showing this film at MNITBY and so I held off watching it in the theaters accordingly. Looking forward to checking it out in the backyard Thursday night!

Movie was great! There was some unfinished discussion about the use of color vs. B&W. I enjoyed the perspective on a piece of history we rarely get to hear bout.

Thanks Ellen's mom for the COOKIES. Yummy.
